Global Care, Tullamarine.
Globalcare has been successful in gaining approval from Foodbank Victoria to obtain food supplies for distribution to those in need in our community. We are proposing to distribute non-perishable food parcels from the Centerpoint Church building on a fortnightly basis every second Tuesday evening.
To our Centerpoint Church family, we would like to introduce a new ministry within our church called Global Care, Tullamarine. Global Care currently has a small leadership team consisting of Rita and Carlo Mosca, Michelle Galati, Carmine Santomartino, Rob & Rose Rich who lead this amazing benevolent ministry.
Global Care is the social justice and disaster relief arm of the International Network of Churches (INC) and we exist to spread kindness and love across Australia, and around the world.
This ministry is threefold…
Volunteer.
Firstly, we are seeking people that would like to be a Global Care, Tullamarine volunteer, to assist with the packaging and distribution of these food parcels.
Nominate someone.
Secondly, we would like our Centerpoint Church family to nominate people in need of assistance.
Support us.
As the situation unfolds in response to COVID-19 we are raising vital funds so that we can respond to increasing demand. We are facing an unprecedented challenge and so any donation will be warmly welcomed as we continue to support people most in need.
All donations given via this campaign will be used to either purchase food for people most in need or enhancing the service we offer.
Approximately every $4 provides a family with one large care pack of perishables and non – perishables. This includes bread, fruit and veggies, soups, canned foods, breakfast cereals, pasta, rice, etc, as well as soap, shampoo, dishwashing detergent and other toiletries.
